Mother's Day Card

I don't know about you but because I'm into paper craft and know how cost effective and quick it is to make a card, I don't really like a store bought card from my family. So for Mother's Day this year I thought I'd make a kit for my hubby to put together a card for me :)

I found a nice simple card by Heather Chachula and modified it a little to my liking and prepared all the bits for him.

It took him less than half an hour to put together and it was pretty!! But I later found out that he did not enjoy the process because he thought he'd get to use whatever he wants to make me a card, not follow instructions! Oh well, I compromised by letting him spray the shimmer mist and whatever bling or pearl from my stash that he wanted to use on it. He ended using LOTS of shimmer mist... LOL

I will definitely make this card again because it can be used for so many occasions, weddings, Mother's day, birthdays, Valentine's Day... etc.

Thank you for stopping by.

New beginnings

My baby girl is now 10 months old which means I'm starting to get more free time to do what I want because she is now less dependant on me (still feeding her but she doesn't need to be picked up all the time)! That is great news for me but not so good for my hubby coz he's left with the job of babysitting the kids while my mind and body in craft mode.

Although I love scrapbooking whether it is paper scrap or digital scrap, I do like the instant gratification of making a card which is something I can normally do within half an hour. Whereas with my perfectionist attitude, it can take me half a day to a day to scrap a page that I really like... So you can imagine how thin my scrapbook is... haha

So I decided to start this blog to share my handmade cards and the many other crafty things that I like doing :) Thank you for sharing this journey with me.

Here is something that I've made my ML for her birthday on the 18th. Can't show you the whole thing in case she stumbles upon this blog before i give it to her...
